Centre for the Built and Natural Environment, Coventry University, UK. Shuli Liu is Professor in the School of Energy, Construction and Environment at Coventry University, with 18 years research experience in the areas of low carbon cities and low impact buildings including building services and energy efficient technologies. Shuli has led over 17 research projects funded by EPSRC, KTP, British Council, Newton Fund, GCRF, Marie Skłodowska-Curie and industry partners such as Tata Steel, Triton Shower and Orbit House Group Ltd, etc. She has been
awarded more than £2.2 million of funding including an EPSRC project on smart meters and sensor systems for domestic houses, a KTP project on low carbon energy models in social housing extensively using novel and sustainable technologies, solar ventilation systems, free cooling and heating technologies, etc. Shuli has over 100 journal and conference publications and has supervised over 10 PhD students. She is a senior member of CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers), a member and mentor of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), fellow of Higher Education Academy, UK. Shuli is also a member of the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET), UK and IBPSA, England.
